InquiryAVID students work on their inquiry skills every Monday morning during our Tutorial sessions. Each student presents their point of confusion and the process they used to try and reach their resolution. In their tutorial groups they also practice their skilled questioning by using Costa Questions and higher level thinking to help guide each other to find the correct solution to their point of confusion.

OrganizationOrganization is quickly embedded into every AVID student's lifestyle. First and foremost students learn to organize their academics in their AVID binder. Students learn to use dividers to organize classwork, assignment logs to track daily assignments and homework, Cornell Notes to improve their note taking and studying abilities, and agendas to organize their daily routines, homework and improve their overall time management.
